Teachers of the Learning Link
In preparing for this school year, the Lancaster Learning Link board members have taken a great deal of time and consideration in order to find teachers who are not only well equipped and knowledgeable about their respected subjects and classes, but also teachers who have a firm foundation in core Christian beliefs and principles. We know that it is much more than equations and definitions that you will be learning in these classes; it is also guiding principles that you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Many of the teachers whom the Link employs are parents to students who are or have been part of the Learning Link. These individuals are proficient in their subject matter and it is very enjoyable visiting with them. Some others are members of the community who are teaching due to their job backgrounds in advanced fields of more common High School subjects such as Math, Science, and English.

The interview and hiring process generally consists of current teacher and parent recommendations and phone interviews. Then, if things go well, the Link board meets with the prospective teacher and discusses things like qualifications, personal beliefs, and religious views, along with providing the teachers with additional information about requirements, schedules, teacher responsibilities, and handling various situations. In addition to the interviews, time is taken on both sides for prayer and consideration before any decisions are made and, if everything things goes well, the teacher is hired and the class is made available to the students and their families.
