New for 2022-2023

  • LPS will not be sharing the building with us.

  • $50 fine for any NO SHOWS for volunteer service.

  • Anytime a parent comes to the Link to volunteer or visit, you must sign in at the administrator’s desk, receive a sticker nametag and a volunteer lanyard. Sign out upon leaving.

  • Parents, be the first to enforce the dress code. Do not send your student to the Link in shorts or skirts shorter than arms’ length, shirts that reveal the midriff when arms are raised, and leggings with nothing covering the “bumper.”

  • ONLY THE WEST LOWER DOORS will be unlocked. This will be the only door we use to enter or exit. Teacher parking will be marked with cones along the east side of the lot. The rest of the lot is for your parking.

  • You must include study halls on your child’s absence reports.

  • Lanyards are our only form of security. To honor our families and teachers who hold security concerns, lanyard wearing will be a non-negotiable. Lanyards will be stored at the Link all year. Pick yours up upon arrival and leave it before exiting the building. They may only be worn around the neck of the student- not attached to backpacks, etc. If you do not have your lanyard for any reason, you will be fined $5.00 and your parent will be called to bring it to the Link.

  • When a student with a yellow dot leaves the Link with plans to return, he or she will simply leave his or her lanyard on the desk of the study hall monitor.

  • The back hallway, back bathroom, café’, chairs outside the library, hearth room, and lobby are off limits for us this year.

  • Use of cell phones will be permitted during study hall at the tech tables. Students just have to GET UP AND MOVE to the tech tables. Screen sharing will NEVER BE TOLERATED at the Link. If a student shares their screen with another student, they will turn their phone in to Mrs. Rodriguez for the remainder of the day.

  • The social hall will carry “coffeehouse” sound decibels. No activities involving sporting equipment will be allowed this year. Please bring cards and games.

  • The use of illegal substances while at the Link and/or the possession of weapons will result in immediate withdrawal from the Link with no refund. While at the Link, if a student threatens to harm themselves or others, the parents AND the authorities will be called.

  • Take note of each teacher’s individual zoom policy.

  • There are only four options for students’ presence during a Link day:
    • Enrolled in class
    • In study hall (attendance will be taken)
    • Restroom for a short period of time
    • Off campus if you have a yellow dot

  • Roaming around the inside or outside of the building is not allowed.

Thank you for noting the above changes. Have a great year!
